A Day at Garrapata Beach

I took a day trip with my Sister yesterday and her lil pup, Banksy, to Garrapata Beach off of Hwy 1. It's just south of Carmel about 7 miles or so. Once home to the Ohlone and Rumsen tribes, this beautiful area has coastal hiking and a beach with clean sand, blue water and all sorts of plant life. It's worth a trip if you live in the Bay Area. We have amazing access to such beauty in the Bay. I'll be returning.

P.S. Please remember not to litter

Garden Alchemy

Landscape design done with care and skill can be very beautiful. I've always admired those who could pull an outdoor space together as well as an interior space. This is a design created by Garden Alchemy located in Oakland, CA.  The space was functional, fun, relaxing and had an incredible view. I always love the use of succulents, especially, in California. They look great and don't need a lot of water to thrive.

Alchemy: a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination.
